“Shared Sacrifice” = GOP Con job

Senator Bernie Sanders on The Ed Show was outraged at politicians turning a blind eye to corporations in this country who aren’t and don’t want to pay taxes and do not play a role in deficit reduction,  yet demanding that those who can least afford it make all the sacrifices in America’s “shared sacrifice.”

The average American making $40k or $50k a year is paying more in taxes than giant corporations like GE, or Citigroup or Exxon Mobil, which aren’t contributing to the treasury at all.

Politicians are moving the country towards a balanced budget on the backs of the weak, the sick, the elderly, the unemployed and the most vulnerable of Americans, this is both morally wrong and bad economic policy.
